RAIL commuters faced delays on Wirral this morning.
Merseyrail services on the Wirral line were starting and terminating at Birkenhead due to a failed train at Hamilton Square.
Replacement buses were laid on between Birkenhead Central and Birkenhead North and Liverpool for passengers on the Chester, Ellesmere Port, West Kirby and New Brighton.
The Wirral line was plagued with problems last week, after heavy rainfall caused flooding at Hooton.
Merseyrail managing director Maarten Spaargaren apologised to passengers for the inconvenience.
