FOR this week's Liverpool Post Flickr page, we have a look at three images taken on Bonfire Night around Merseyside.
The first picture was taken by Kevin T Scott and shows how to capture a familiar event in a new and different way. Kevin's well framed image of the silhouettes of people and glasses really sets off the bonfire blazing away in the background.
By contrast, no people feature in the picture of a firework exploding above Birkenhead Park taken by Gangster's Moll.
The image still stands out though because of the red wash the firework casts across the image, and the remarkable depth of the shot across the lake. Finally, symmetry is key in Julie Reynolds's picture of the Halton firework display above the River Mersey.
Not only do the fireworks show off the bridge to full effect, but they are reflected in the river, too.
