Double Rhino joy at Knowsley safari park

KNOWSLEY Safari Park has double joy to celebrate with the birth of two white rhinoceros calves.

Female Njiri was born on November 7 with male Thabo following on November 9. Both calves have the same dad, 18-year-old bull Shaka, but were born to different females 18-year-old Piglet and 18-year-old Winnie respectively. At one week old and already weighing 20 stone between them, Njiri (meaning warthog) and Thabo (meaning joy) were bestowed with African names, to celebrate their bloodlines.
