A SCHOOLBOY was arrested after allegedly stabbing his classmate in the head with a pencil.
Emergency services were called to St Michael’s CE high in Crosby at 2.30pm on Tuesday following the attack.
The student was taken to Ormskirk hospital for treatment and was later discharged to recover at home.
Police confirmed a 13-year-old boy from Bootle was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was taken to a police station and later released on bail.
Headteacher Dr Simon Hulme said: “I can confirm an incident took place which resulted in a pupil suffering a small cut to the left side of his head.”
