A LIVERPOOL Christmas decorating company is to dress the iconic Bethlehem tree just yards from where Jesus Christ is said to have been born.
Wavertree-based firm The Christmas Decorators have worked for some famous clients in the past, including Wayne Rooney, Elton John, Sharon Osbourne and David Beckham.
But dressing the tree in Bethlehem will be a pinnacle for the business.
Six of their team will fly to the West Bank city this Thursday to decorate its giant 55ft Manger Square tree, which stands yards from the Church of the Nativity and Christ’s manger.
Ged Comerford, head of UK operations, and one of the team visiting Bethlehem, said: "This is such a fantastic opportunity for us to decorate one of the world’s most iconic Christmas trees.
"Our team cannot wait to get out there, showcase our talents and share in the buzz of what promises to be an unforgettable Christmas experience."
