DAVID Gest has cancelled a Soul Spectacular run at Liverpool’s Royal Court.
The American was due to bring a string of music legends to the Roe Street theatre in February to perform in five Legends of Soul Spectacular concerts.
But the theatre announced the dates, from February 6-9, had been axed and started contacting disappointed music fans who had already booked tickets.
A statement from the Royal Court said: “The theatre is currently taking legal advice and will be issuing a full statement soon. We are very disappointed to lose the show, especially following David’s recent withdrawal from the Christmas show.
“We will be contacting customers as quickly as we can to arrange full refunds.”
The 59-year-old pulled out of A Nightmare on Lime Street to return to the States for an operation to remove a tumour from his neck.
