THE search is on for a talented film-maker to direct a music video for one of Liverpool’s most hotly-tipped bands.
Art rockers Outfit are set to release their debut album Performance later this year.
FACT and Liverpool Sound City have teamed up to encourage entries from people hoping to direct the video for the album’s title track.
They are asking budding directors to submit storyboard and film ideas for the video.
The winning treatment will then be made with help from FACT, including the use of equipment and their editing suite as well as £500.
The final video will form part of FACT’s upcoming exhibition The Art of Pop Video, opening on March 14.
FACT director Mike Stubbs said: “These days, more and more people have the tools to film and even edit video clips in the palm of their hands with their mobile phones, allowing them to express their creativity in a quick and easy way.
“We are very excited to see what people will come up with.”
The closing date for pitches is February 14.
