THE family of a young mother-of-three whose body was found last week has thanked the community for its “overwhelming support”.
Hundreds took part in a four-day search for Karen Simpson,31, of Elm Road, Burscough, who had been suffering from post-natal depression.
But it ended in tragedy when a body was found in fields off Marsh Moss Lane, Burscough, near Ormskirk, last Wednesday.
In a statement to The Post, Karen’s family said today: “The support from the local community has been overwhelming.
“We cannot begin to thank everyone individually so we hope this message reaches all involved.
“Your kind words and thoughts are really helping the family at this time.
“Thank you Burscough.”
