But, as Mr Flewitt described how a second clip would capture the moment her youngest son was gunned down, Mrs Jones could control her emotions no longer.

Flanked by nine security guards, the seven defendants watched the images on screens specially attached to the front of the dock.
Mercer, as he had done on several occasions during the day, shook his head as he followed the footage.
It brought gasps of shock from the jury box.
But Mr Flewitt told them: “It is of the utmost importance that you do not allow your understandable disgust towards the people who were responsible for those dreadful events to cloud your judgment when you consider the positions of the defendants on trial in this case.”
