Mystery solved

A mystery which saw carved stone heads left outside homes and businesses in the dead of night has been solved.

Residents across Yorkshire were left puzzled after sculptures with carved faces and symbols and an attached riddle were deposited at their properties in villages including Goathland and Kilburn.

But the culprit has been revealed on a website as artist Billy Johnson, who scours beaches for fossils and rocks to make the heads, which he completes by twilight.
