American Joey Chestnut swallowed 103 hamburgers in eight minutes to set a new record.
The 23-year-old from San Jose, California, surpassed the previous world record of 97 held by a Japanese rival.
Besides beating 12 other contestants and setting a new record, Mr Chestnut also took home 10,000 dollars (£5,000).
