Facebook tramp dead

A tramp who became a Facebook phenomenon after living in the middle of a ring road for more than 30 years has died.

Josef Stawinoga became an internet celebrity when a group set up in his honour on the popular social networking website attracted thousands of members.

Police confirmed that the body of an 87-year-old man, named locally as Mr Stawinoga, was found yesterday afternoon in a tent on Wolverhampton’s central reservation.
