A junior school head told how problems arose when a teacher discovered she was allergic to a detergent used on a pupil's clothes.
Gregory Hill, head of the Howard Junior School in King's Lynn, Norfolk, said he was "working hard" to resolve an "extremely unusual" situation.
Mr Hill said a fabric softener used to wash eight-year-old Hope Nichols' uniform made the teacher ill. He said the youngster had once been asked to leave a classroom for a short period to allow the teacher to recover - and staff were on standby to cover for their colleague.
