Hopes for diet girl

A teenager who has struggled to digest anything but chips is starting to eat more normally after doctors diagnosed an unusual condition, medics say.

Experts at a London hospital say Faye Campbell, 15, of Stowmarket, Suffolk, is suffering from gastrooesophageal reflux.

Specialists at Barts and the London Hospital made the diagnosis after being told that the youngster felt ill when she ate most foods.
