No relief
An Israeli business tried to have more than £400,000 in bribes written off against tax.
The unnamed company told a tax tribunal that the money was needed to secure a deal with an African nation and therefore should be exempted from the Israeli law.
But the judge ruled that an Israeli business must stick to the values of its home nation even while conducting business abroad.
