The first image of a penthouse flat at one of the world’s most luxurious developments has been released, as figures show that half the units on the site have been sold for a total of £600 million.

One of four penthouses planned for One Hyde Park in London is featured in the computer-generated picture to give an idea of what it might look like.

The development, due to be completed in 2010, consists of 80 flats in four pavilions in a prime location in the capital with views across the city and Hyde Park - and it is understood the estimated £100 million penthouses could feature bullet proof windows and purified air systems.
