Mobile phones and laptop computers are more likely to be saved if fire breaks out in a house than sentimental items such as family photographs, according to a new report.
Insurance documents are also high on the list of what householders would try to rescue, a survey of 1,000 adults found.
The study by www.knowaboutfire.co.uk, aimed at raising awareness of the dangers of fire, showed that women are more likely to try to rescue clothes, while men are more interested in salvaging electrical goods or their record collection.
