A father had to deliver his baby daughter in a hospital car park after struggling to get into the building.

Phil Day used experience gained as a gamekeeper caring for newborn lambs to clear mucus from newborn Kodi's throat and stop her from choking.

Mr Day's girlfriend Nicki Barwick, 29, went into labour on March 26 but the couple could not get into the maternity unit at the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton in time.
