Britain's historic bridges, buildings and roads are under threat from drivers blindly following satnav directions, it has been claimed.
The technology is diverting growing numbers of lorries on to country roads and through villages which are not designed to take heavy vehicles, the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) said.
A 200-year-old bridge in Oxfordshire, a 300-year-old cottage in Greater Manchester and Pevensey Castle in East Sussex are among the ancient structures damaged by lorries, the society said.
