False American Indian chiefs fined

Four people who made false claims to be chiefs of an American Indian tribe in eastern Utah have been told to pay £30,000 damages by a court.

The men refuse to recognise federal or state laws, have issued their own driving licences and filed countless lawsuits against Utah authorities for ignoring their purported sovereignty.

But Judge Stephen P. Friot dismissed them as a "complete sham".
