Charles Darwin's great-great granddaughter named nation's most plant-friendly voice

The soothing tones of a human voice can make plants grow taller, but best results can only be achieved if you are Charles Darwin’s great-great granddaughter, according to the Royal Horticultural Society.

The RHS has claimed to have found the nation’s most plant-friendly voice and it belongs to Sarah Darwin, whose great-great grandfather was the groundbreaking botanist and author of On The Origin Of Species.

The society’s discovery follows a month of experiments to find the Voice of Wisley - the voice that can best stimulate plant growth at RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey.
