Food investigators have abandoned attempts to discover how a snake head came to be in a side-dish of broccoli served in a US restaurant.
Lab tests showed that the head had not been cooked, indicating it was added to the broccoli at the restaurant in Albany, New York.
Police said they could not determine how it got there and the investigation had been closed.
