A drunk Briton had to be halted by police after he began handing out thousands of pounds in euros at a Spanish airport, officials said.
The mystery visitor at Mallorca Airport was dishevelled, smelly and dressed “tramp-like” but had come into an inheritance and quickly attracted a crowd when he began giving away bundles of euros.
Much the worse for drink, the British visitor had flown in from Manchester to Palma de Mallorca airport before police intervened, a spokesman for Spain’s Interior Ministry said.
