A kitten that ended up in a river after going missing saved himself from drowning by clinging to a log, the RSPCA said.
Sooty was discovered amid flotsam and jetsam just before rapids on the river Taff in south Wales after disappearing from his home three days earlier.
The 10-month-old was rescued by firefighters who waded into the water to fetch him.
