A cow was rescued by firefighters after it got stuck while going for a swim in a river.
The Aberdeen Angus steer was spotted in trouble in Beaulieu River, off the 18th century shipbuilding village of Buckler’s Hard in the New Forest, Hampshire.
The cow had swum from the Beaulieu Estate and had apparently been stuck in the mud banks for up to four days.
