THURSDAY
Cricket: India v England, Sky Sports 1, 6am every day until Monday
In case you’ve missed your international cricket (well it has been over a month now) set your alarms for the first test between India and England from the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad.
FRIDAY
npower League One: Tranmere Rovers v MK Dons, SS1, 7.30pm (kick-off 7.45pm)
Friday night football is back at Prenton Park as Ronnie Moore’s Rovers look to extend their lead at the top in their second TV appearance of the week.
SATURDAY
Cycling: Track World Cup, BBC1, 1pm
The folly of ex-sportsmen being parachuted into front line BBC presenting jobs was exposed at London 2012 when former world record holder and Olympic champion Jonathan Edwards had to ask Michael Johnson for an expert analysis of ...triple jumping. No such risks here as Edwards presents highlights of the Track World Cup from Glasgow, as the new Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome makes its debut on the international stage.
Rugby Union: Scotland v South Africa, BBC1, 2pm
BBC Scotland viewers will surely then stay tuned for their big clash with the Springboks.
Rugby Union: England v Australia, SS1 2pm.
England take on Australia at Twickenham in the second of their autumn internationals. The Lions secured an impressive 35-18 victory when the teams last met here in November 2010. HIghlights of this one will be on BBC2 on Sunday at 12.30pm.
SUNDAY
Premier League: Fulham v Sunderland, SS1, 3.30pm (ko4)
One of those where you think, “well, I suppose Sky have to give everyone a turn, don’t they?”
