Everton celebrate at Bolton
OLDHAM may have done for Liverpool, but I can’t see Everton having the same problems in the next round of the FA Cup.
Both Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka will welcome the Latics’ robust approach, with Jagielka knowing what it’s like having played further down in the league ladder.

Everton started brightly but fell away after they scored, yet they still managed to come away with the victory. That’s all you can do in a cup-tie: win.
If you consider Everton haven’t played well in their last few games but earned a point at Southampton and are through to the fifth round of the FA Cup, then it augurs well.
What was unfortunate on Saturday is that Bolton couldn’t give Everton more tickets.
I really don’t understand it. I’m told it was not for health and safety reasons but more to do with moving season tickets holders for one game.
They should have. Now Bolton have lost out on thousands of pounds of gate receipts.
