A rare treat for terrestrial loyalists: Top quality live sport on the BBC. First, Warren Gatland’s men begin the defence of their title – won with a Grand Slam last year – at the Millennium Stadium. Then Stuart Lancaster sends his England side into battle at Twickenham.

Super League: St Helens v Huddersfield Giants, SS1, 4.30pm
