A CHESTER CITY XI drew 1-1 in a ‘behind closed doors’ friendly game against Everton Reserves at the Deva Stadium yesterday.
City’s goal was scored by trialist Eddie Johnson, who has been training with Chester for the past fortnight.
City included midfield player Mark Hughes and striker Paul McManus in their line up which mainly consisted of youth team and fringe players.
Meanwhile, it seems unlikely that Wrexham striker Michael Proctor will be joining Chester. The player has expressed a desire to stay at the Racecourse, and fight for a first team place with the Blue Square Premier club.
Former City player Justin Walker has joined UniBond League club Halifax Town. The midfielder played for Ilkeston Town last season.
