Meeting planned on City future

THE administrators who are currently running the day-to-day affairs of Chester City, have announced that they have arranged a meeting of creditors and existing shareholders for Thursday June 11.

Skelmersdale-based insolvency practition-ers – Refresh Recovery Ltd. – will present a detailed account of the club’s fiscal problems, as well as announcing how many bids for the Deva Stadium outfit they have received.

The meeting will be held at the Deva Stadium, starting at 11am. City entered voluntary administra-tion last month.

On Saturday, June 13 the Blue Square Premier League will hold their annual general meeting, when City will be hoping to be officially accepted into the top tier of non-League football, following their relegation from the Football League.

Fixtures for next season’s Blue Square Premier campaign will be published on Friday July 3, the new season kicks off on August 8.

Chester have announced two more pre-season friendlies. On Saturday, August 1, they will travel to the Butchers Arms to face Droylsden. A City youth team will play Welsh Premier League club, Cefn Druids on Saturday, August 8.
