A NUMBER of Chester City players could be moving away from the Deva Stadium next month when the transfer window reopens.
A clutch of managers and scouts were present at the Deva last Friday night to watch City’s game against Fleetwood Town and it is expected that certain of the current first team squad may be about to move on.
Neighbours Wrexham, who have been linked with midfielder Anthony Barry and striker Nick Chadwick, were represented by manager Dean Saunders while Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Simpson was present to run the rule over defender Shaun Kelly and promising Wales Youth international midfieder James Owen.
Tranmere Rovers, Bury and York City also had representatives at the game.
Meanwhile, former Chester City and Vauxhall Motors striker Paul Taylor, who was handed a six-month suspension after failing a drugs test last year, is having trials with Belgian club Anderlecht.
Taylor resurrected his career with Belgian fourth grade club Royal Racing Club Montegnee and his performances have alerted the top Brussels side who are expected to offer the player a deal at the beginning of next month.
A Chester City side will face Northwich Victoria tomorrow in the quarter-final of the Cheshire Senior Cup. The game, which kicks off at 7.30pm, will be held at the Deva Stadium.
Admission prices are £5 for adults, £3 for juniors and concessions.
