CHESTER City striker Nick Chadwick, will miss Saturday’s trip to Rushden and Diamonds after being banned for a match by the FA.
The former Everton and Plymouth Argyle forward, who picked up his fifth booking of the season during last weekend’s match against Fleetwood Town, has been suspended for one match under the totting up procedure.
With only youngsters Lloyd Ellams and Ben Jones available to him, City manager Jim Harvey’s striking options appear to be extremely limited for the game at Nene Park.
Meanwhile, the Professional Footballers Association have been in touch with the Deva Stadium outfit and their players to try and resolve the current issues surrounding unpaid wages. Players had indicated that they were considering strike action over the matter, however the PFA have advised against that course of action.
PFA executive Simon Barker said: "It is not hard to see why the players are frustrated. Any employee in any other industry would be upset if their wages were not paid on time and footballers are no different .
"I understand that Chester have told their players to take time off this week and that they have not been paid for November."
Barker added: "I have spoken to a number of Chester players about the current situation, and I have insisted that they keep the PFA in contact. The morale amongst the players at Chester must be difficult, but they have been good to the club in agreeing to play."
