Cycling: Walsh leads way

CYCLING: Birkenhead North End CC organised the 25 miles time trial on the D25/6 course at Pulford and had most of the prize winners, including first home Andy Walsh, 53 minutes 14 seconds.

Liverpool Century’s Paul Grindley was second in 54.12 and Wrexham RC’s David Crawley third in 54.35. BNECC won the team prize with Walsh, Stephen Gauller (57.14) and Ian Hawkins (58.21) giving them a total time of 2 hours 48 minutes 49 seconds.

They also had the fastest lady in Janet Hassall who did 1.4.49.
