LIVERPOOL Mercury RC's Richard Meadows won the Yorkshire RC 25-mile time-trial at Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire in fine style.

The extremely talented youngster, who in June this year was fourth in the National 25-miles Junior Championship with 57 minutes 04 seconds beat all the men with a rapid personal best time of 51 minutes 31 seconds.

His nearest rival, act time trialist Carl Saint of the organising club, was one minute 48 seconds slower.
