Sailing: Regatta’s racing has some grounded

THERE was some keen racing in the Menai Strait yesterday as the Regattas Fortnight continued with the Conway Yacht Club Regatta at Beaumaris but it was not plain sailing for all with some yachts running aground on the ebbing tide.

The Conway One Designs had the Seva Theta Cup at stake and it was taken by Alan Davies in Seriol. There was also success for another Conway yacht Smokehaze (Roy Yates) in the Keelboat fleet

Greenfly in the Squibs and Elin in the Fifes were new winners
