NEW BRIGHTON returned to winning ways in North Two West with a five-try bonanza at the expense of Sandbach.
The result was never really in doubt. Sandbach offered stout resistance at times, but lacked authority in attack.
Wayne Clayton and Josh Bates did well in the Blues back row and there was some lively work in the back division from Guy Stringer and Chris Dale.
Mike Gallimore, in a new role at full-back, also made his presence felt and claimed the man of the match award.
It was Gallimore who popped up after a five-metre scrum to gain the opening touchdown for the home side early in the second quarter. Then Stephen Dean burst through and converted for a 12-0 interval advantage.
Lee Pickles clawed back a penalty for Sandbach but Brighton re-established their authority with a drive over try credited to Kati Tuipulotu.
An interception touchdown followed from Alan Hesketh and then Gallimore put the finishing touch to a concerted attack for the last try near the close. Dean managed one more goal.
