Sailing: Braving the seas

SAILING Only a handful of crews braved the conditions for the second Liverpool Yacht Club race in the Firmhelm Coastal series at Pwllheli.

The yachts faced an eight mile windward beat to the Tudwal Islands and Bell Rock against a 25 knots breeze before heading back to Fairway.

Richard Booth in his Prima 28 Anothers Nods took the Class One award. Class Two went to John Roberts in a Contention 33 Poppy and Class Three to Jack Hilton in an SSC32 She-Fever.
