Cycling: Greenhalgh joy

CYCLING: Second category rider Tony Greenhalgh, Maxgear RT, won the 90km Frank Morgan Memorial Road Race at Kirkby Industrial Business Park.

He crossed the line of the race for second, third and fourth categories, organised by Liverpool Mercury RC, in 2 hours 23 minutes and 55 seconds. Birkenhead North End CC’s Keith Jones was second and Paul Thursfield, Crewe Clarion was third and best veteran.

Sam Pedder, GS Surosa, took the junior award after being 14th.
