Chance to play in Paris XI

LIVERPOOL youngsters have the chance to put their England credentials to the test this weekend.

The Danone Nations Cup trials arrive at Walton Sports Centre with the opportunity to play for Jamie Redknapp’s Team England in the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris.

Now in its eighth year, it has become the world’s biggest football tournament for girls and boys aged 10-12, bringing together 2.5 million competitors from over 40 different countries.

The trials at Walton tomorrow will be held at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm.

Former Liverpool star Redknapp said: “I am really excited to be coaching Team England. The cup is all about giving kids the opportunity to play on an international stage.”
