BOB BRYAN and Samantha Stosur claimed the Wimbledon mixed doubles title with a straight sets victory over the top seeds, Bryan’s brother Mike and Katarina Srebotnik, on Court One.

Bryan, from the US, and Australian doubles expert Stosur broke their opponents at the crucial point in the first set to take the advantage in a match switched from Centre Court due to the epic men’s singles final last night.

As darkness fell, the unseeded pair held their nerve to maintain their advantage and claim a 7-5 6-4 victory a matter of moments before the enclosing darkness would have extended the match into an extra day.
