Williamson sisters jumping for joy after reaching National finals

SISTERS Lauren and Bethany Williamson are jumping for joy after securing spots in the British Trampolining Championships at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham in July.

Lauren, 10, and Bethany, 8, from Spital, Wirral are the current North West champions in their respective age groups. The girls are members of Aerodynamic Trampoline squad and train up to five days a week travelling to Woodchurch, Deeside and Widnes to train.

This will be Lauren’s second National Championships after competing last year in the under-11s age group where she came a creditable 12th.

This year she has moved up an age group and will be competing in the under-13s band and is training hard now in an attempt to cement a top-five position.

Bethany will be taking part in her first Championships and at the age of eight will be one of the youngest gymnasts competing where she is also hopeful of a top-10 finish.
