Park blood new faces

WEST PARK kick off their North One programme on Saturday at Red Rocks, when they take on the might of Hull.

Flanker Mark Williams will lead the West Park side out though it is doubtful whether two out of the three Springbok recruits will have arrived in sufficient time to be in the starting line up.

Ryan De La Harpe a utility back is already here and the utility Springbok has already established himself on Merseyside having been at Orrell during their last season.

Prop forward Ollie Dube and lock Edlyn Serge are believed to be on their way from Durban where they have featured with the Sharks whilst number 8 Jimmy Baloyi is rumoured to be making his way from Natal.

West Park have faced Fleetwood and Northwich in preseason and hope tonight if the weather allows to finish their programme against a Select North Wales side at Red Rocks weather permitting.

Hull could be a tough nut to crack on Saturday with former Bradford Bulls winger Vaikona Tevita likely to be directing matters as their director of Rugby.

Simon Mason’s first competitive match as Director of Rugby at Anselmians ended in a 46-5 victory in the first round of the EDF Senior Vase against Old Bedians from Didsbury, Manchester.

Duncan Williams, Mark Petterson, Nick Lamming, Liam Cambridge, Sean Barrow, Nick Lytollis and Adam Neale weighed in with tries while Paul Close converted four and goaled a penalty.
