A DISAPPOINTING National Three North result for Caldy, who failed to build on their opening day victory against Loughborough Students.
The visitors did not make enough use of an abundance of first-half possession.
Caldy fully merited the opening try from Andy Soutar but two penalties boosted the home side.
They went on to score two good tries in the third quarter, plus one conversion, for an 18-5 advantage.
Caldy hit back as Matt Lamming sped 50 yards for their second try, but the conversion was charged down. Ben MacPherson landed a late penalty for the visitors, but they ran out of time.
