CRICKET: Cheshire captain Lauren Griffiths is the only uncapped player in the England Women’s squad announced by the ECB yesterday for the World Cup in Australia in March.
The 21-year-old Griffiths is one of two wicketkeepers named in the squad and she said: “Playing for England has always been something I've dreamt of. It’s a great honour to be selected, especially for a World Cup. I’m out in Australia already playing cricket in Victoria in preparation.”
