Points flood in for Hall

BIRKENHEAD PARK began their defence of the Lees Cheshire Cup with a quarter-final victory under the New Brighton floodlights.

Dave Hall helped himself to all Park’s points, landing two penalties in the opening period and added a third 10 minutes after the break.

Hall then weaved through for a try and added the extras before finishing off with a fourth penalty.

Caldy gained a first-half penalty through Chris Buck and also scored a consolation try in the last minute via Ben Wylie.

NEW BRIGHTON joined Birkenhead in the semi-finals of the county cup with a 31-8 success at Birkenhead Park. Kati Tuipulotu scored three tries.
