HOYLAKE finished 20-12 to the good at home to Winnington Park.
Sefton enjoyed a 28-22 win at Ruskin Park in Division Two. Wayne Osborne, Gerraint Thomas and Stu Bailey breached the home defence and John Fenton targeted two conversions and a trio of penalties.
Anselmians lost 24-15 against visiting Oswestry. Matt Ludemans, Martin Pilgrim and Nick Lamming touched down.
Oldershaw were happy with a 27-9 success at Holmes Chapel. John Pritchard and John Jones went in and Mark Hallam managed one conversion and five penalties.
There is another round of league action this Saturday including a Hoylake v Wirral derby at Melrose Avenue.
