Athletics: Youngsters prove their credentials with four titles

WEST CHESHIRE AC have catapulted themselves to four sensational victories.
The Chester and Ellesmere Port club celebrated four age group wins at the third round of the North West Sportshall League held at Wigan’s Robin Park Indoor Arena.
Sophie Baker, Tess Corr, Olivia Williams, Georgia Barlow, Amy Williams, Natasha Tudor, Toni Lammond, Charlotte Williamson, Eloise Edwards, Abbie Reynolds, and Erin McFadden pushed West Cheshire’s under 11 girls to glory.
Amy Williams (6.75m) and Abbie Reynolds (5.25m) won in the chest push, while Georgia Barlow won her two lap (24.9) and four lap (56.8) races. The pair then teamed up with Charlotte Williamson and Olivia Williams to clinch success in the relay.
Kelly Baker, Chloe Hunt, Laura Rigby, Olivia Montez-Brown, Sally Pickering, Laura Jones, and Jennifer Munro-Brown hoisted West Cheshire to top spot in the under 13 girls event.
Kelly Baker (25.1) and Laura Rigby (24.4) won their two lap races, while Olivia Montez-Brown grabbed glory in her six lap (1:24.1). Kelly (9.23m) and Olivia (7.41m) won their shot events. Jack Johnson, James McMahon, Matthew Pagan, Elijah Montez-Brown, Jack Pickering, and Daniel Vickers teamed up to earn West Cheshire under 11 boys victory.
