WIDNES coach Lee McDermott can look back with much satisfaction during the first half of the season.
With the Heath Road boys seeing off Winnington Park and Wirral’s defeat of previously unbeaten Burnage last weekend, McDermott’s side look proudly down on the rest of the pack in South Lancs Cheshire One.
The team are also having a great run in the EDF Senior Energy Vase having qualified for the quarter-finals at York on January 17.
Not only have the first team been performing well, the second and third teams are top of the Miller Homes Leagues.
The club have also introduced a fourth team this season for the first time in nearly 15 years.
