But chairman Peter Coates has left the Jamaican in no doubt as to how deeply hurt he is by his behaviour.
Fuller is facing internal disciplinary action on top of a three-match ban after being red-carded in the defeat by West Ham when he slapped his captain Andy Griffin.
But Coates said: “It hasn’t entered our heads to sell him. We’re absolutely sure we want to keep him. I’m not condoning it but you see things far worse on the pitch all the time go unpunished.”
