Caldy eye clear run against Harrogate

CALDY look to build on their promotion challenge in National Three North when they take on Harrogate at Paton Field in a re-arranged fixture this afternoon.

The first game ended prematurely due to fog with Caldy in the driv-ing seat at 14-5. They won’t be able to take anything for granted in their first match since Christmas, especially as they are still missing key players, but they will be smarting after losing top spot in the division to Nuneaton due to enforced inactivity.

Birkenhead Park are without a fixture in North One with intended opponents Sheffield Tigers in cup action but Chester play a delayed Midlands One clash at home to Longton. Gareth Evans comes in at hooker.

New Brighton have Broughton Park as visitors in North Two West.

Gareth Jones takes the full-back role and Ben Newman part-ners Stephen Dean at half-back. Ryan Stead and Paul Roberts make up the second row.

There are a number of re-arranged games in all divisions but there are also some cup engagements.

West Park have Sandal as visitors in the EDF Energy Intermediate Cup after being re-instated in the competition following defeat to Rossendale.

Oldershaw take on Hullensians at Belvidere for a place in the last 16 of the EDF Energy Junior Vase.
